History[]
Monsters, Inc.[]
Sulley is the top scarer at Monsters, Inc. Mike wakes him up, and he is coached by Mike to exercise in order to become better at scaring. They saw the new advertisement for Monsters, Inc. on television. Mike felt very excited to see himself on television, and so they went to Monsters, Inc. When he and Mike walked in, he told Mike's lovely receptionist girlfriend Celia Mae happy birthday. He and Mike walked into the locker rooms, all of a sudden, the sneaky and selfish chameleon monster Randall Boggs scared him. Before Randall walked out of the locker room, he was mocking the two. He and the other monsters were prepared to scare. When the alarm beeped, he and each of the others walked into different children's doors and scared them. Sulley still remained top scarer, until Randall slightly became the top scarer by cheating. However, Sulley beat him again by going back to being the top scarer. Mr. Waternoose went in to talk to Sulley for his skills at scaring. After the CDA fixed the "2319" problem found with a child's sock on the back of George Sanderson, he and Waternoose were talking about helping Waternoose with showing scarers what it takes to be a top scarer. He gave him the "Waternoose Jump N' Growl" and scared him. Later, he noticed a door was left at the Scare Floor. He found a clumsy and obnoxious, but lovable little girl named Boo, who scared him.
Monsters University[]
Sulley is an arrogant jock who introduced himself to Mike after Archie the Scare Pig came into Mike and Randy's room.
