Grug Croood is the main character of the DreamWorks animated comedy film called The Croods, in which his role is the overprotective father of the prehistoric family who hated brand new things and disliked Guy, the boy his daughter, Eep Crood, fell in love with, but he apologized to Guy and got along with him later on in the film. At the end of the film, the Macawnivore becomes his pet, and turns out to be a cat person.
He is voiced by Nicolas Cage.
